Rhinoplasty FAQS

Will insurance pay for my rhinoplasty?

In some cases, insurance may contribute toward rhinoplasty when surgery is required to improve nasal breathing due to a structural concern like a deviated septum. Although we do not accept insurance, septoplasty is performed at no extra charge when needed.

Recovery time after rhinoplasty depends on the type of work you do. Many patients with desk or office jobs are able to return to work after about one week. During the first week, both internal and external nasal splints are typically in place, and some bruising around the eyes is common. After the splints are removed, most patients can resume work, though mild bruising or swelling may remain and is usually easy to conceal with makeup. Patients with physically demanding or heavy labor jobs may need two to four weeks before returning to work. You may drive once you are no longer taking narcotic pain medication and feel confident operating a vehicle, including in an emergency. Most patients are able to drive within one to two weeks.

A liquid rhinoplasty is a non-surgical procedure that uses injectable dermal fillers such as Restylane, Juvéderm, or Radiesse to subtly reshape the nose. It can help camouflage a dorsal hump, improve symmetry, or refine the nasal tip. While this option may be more affordable for some patients, the results are temporary and require maintenance treatments to maintain the outcome.

The average cost of rhinoplasty in the US is $9,000 -$15,000. Dr. Graham’s pricing for rhinoplasty can be found here.
