Recovery time after rhinoplasty depends on the type of work you do. Many patients with desk or office jobs are able to return to work after about one week. During the first week, both internal and external nasal splints are typically in place, and some bruising around the eyes is common. You may drive once you are no longer taking narcotic pain medication and feel confident operating a vehicle, including in an emergency. Most patients are able to drive within one to two weeks.
