What is Infini Microneedling with RFA ?

Lutronic Infini Microneedling Device with RFA(Radiofrequency Ablation) is the most advancedskin rejuvenation technology available.Unlike home shopping network or medspa microneedling gadgets, the Infini device goes deeper and adds a powerful addition, Radiofrequency Ablation(RFA). The addition of RFA technology allows target directed and controlled thermal injury to the dermis. As a result, the Infini microneedling device achieves the same superficial stimulatory effects to the skin as microneedling with an added deeper component. This deeper component, which affects the deep dermis, results in much greater skin remodeling as a result of more collagen and elastin production. Consequently, microneedling devices with RFA have become the standard of care throughout the world for treating facial and neck wrinkles/laxity, acne scarring, and even stretch marks.

How does the Infini Microneedling Device with RFA work?

The Infini Microneedling Device uses 49 insulated gold tipped micro needles to pierce the skin and target several layers of the dermis. Once the dermis is penetrated radiofrequency energy is delivered to the tissue yielding small injuries below the skin. As the body heals these injuries blood flow is improved and there is collagen and elastin remodeling. This remodeling results in skin tightening and wrinkle and scar correction. Multiple depth levels ranging from 0.5 mm to 3.5 mm and multiple RFA energy settings can be specified based on desired effect. The device can be used with or without RFA depending on the desired result. A video illustration is provided below.

Who would benefit from Infini Microneedling with RFA?

The Infini microneedling device is most effective for:

  1. People with early neck and jowl laxity who wish for nonsurgical tightening
  2. People with mild to moderate facial wrinkling and hyperpigmentation
  3. People with acne scarring, most specifically boxcar and rolling scars. Infini has become the”standard of care” for acne scarring in most major cities around the world.

There are additional indications other than those listed above. The Infini microneedling device has also shown effectiveness in treating stretch marks and excessive sweating.

How does Infini Microneedling compare to Laser Resurfacing or Deep Chemical Peels?

It’s all about complications and recovery time. Infini microneedling and aggressive CO2 laser
or chemical resurfacing can essentially accomplish very similar things. They all are targeting the deeper dermis layer of skin, with the intent of stimulating collagen and elastin formation. The Infini microneedling device selectively targets this dermal layer of skin
resulting in minimal injury to the superficial dermis and epidermis. On the contrary, CO2 laser treatments and the use of deep chemical peels are literally burning away the top layers of skin  just to get down to the dermis. Consequently, recovery from laser and chemical resurfacing runs the risk of post procedure hyper and hypopigmenation and also involves at least a week of home recovery caring for painful and weeping facial wounds. The Infini microneedling device with RFA spares this aggressive treatment of the more superficial layers of skin, as a result there is no postinflammatory hyperpigmentation and recovery time is only 1-3 days, with the ability to put on makeup in 24 hours.

Where is the procedure performed ?

Infini Microneedling treatment is typically performed as an in office procedure, but can also be performed during a surgery.

Can I combine the Infini Treatment with Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment(PRP)?

Yes, and in fact, we provide topical PRP treatment with each Infini treatment. We want you to see results, so we’re willing to throw every weapon in our arsenal at your problem area. Of course, you can forego the PRP treatment, but why would you want to?

How much does Infini Microneedling Treatment cost?

The national average price for Infini Microneedling is $2500-5000 dollars.   As every patient has different needs,  the price can vary for each patient.  You can see Dr. Graham’s pricing here.
